Titanium is one of 31 Rare Resources in the game and, if present on a map, becomes visible in the Industrial age small Industrial Age. Like all rare resources on land, it can be gathered by sending a Merchant from the Market to the resource location. Titanium provides the following benefits:

  • Food Food gather rate +20
  • Oil Oil gather rate +20
  • Attrition in enemy territory reduced by 50%
The gather rates from rare resources can be increased in various ways, as described in the main article. Titanium is also one of just three rare resources producing oil, with the other two being Rubber and Uranium. Oil production from rare resources is affected by Refineries, with each refinery increasing the gather rate of oil by 33%.
Titanium

Titanium reduces attrition damage.

Hint: After advancing to the Industrial Age, you can quick-check the availability of Titanium and other new rare resources in your territory by selecting any Market or Merchant – unconnected resources are blinking on the minimap.

Trivia Edit

The Food production bonus of Titanium is somewhat odd. One of the few links between titanium and food is titanium dioxide, a product of titanium, which (amongst other things) is used for food coloring and then listed as E171. Or it could simply show how food can be produced more effectively thanks to titanium cooking tools. The attrition reduction is attributed to the resistance of titanium towards corrosion.
