The Special Forces are the Modern Age Scouts. They are trained at the Barracks, are stealthed while not moving and detect hidden enemy units, allowing nearby friendly units to attack it.
Like with all Scouts, the unit's Line of Sight is increased by 2 tiles per each Science Technology researched.
Special Abilities
- Counterintelligence (500 Craft, hotkey: W). Kills an enemy Spy unit.
- Sniper (1000 Craft, hotkey: V). Kills an enemy non-civilian unit.
- Sabotage (1000 Craft, hotkey: B). Halves the target building's hit points.
- Anti-Aircraft Jamming (automatic). Jams nearby Anti-Aircraft units and stationary Anti-Aircraft Structures.
Training
Production cost increases for every unit of the same type, whether on the field or currently in production, by a fixed +10 Metal / +10 Wealth. However, the maximum cost for Special Forces is capped at 120 Metal / 120 Wealth (reached with 8 units). Actual production and upgrading costs may differ, depending on researched technologies, connected rare resources, or adopted governments.
