Unit Information | Game Strategies | History |
The Scholar is a civilian unit responsible for gathering Knowledge at a University.
Universities grant some Knowledge by themselves as a completion bonus, and generate some more while still standing, as with most gathering buildings. However, a University has to be fitted with Scholars to generate any significant amount of this resource, making them absolutely vital for research and age advancement, specially in the late stages of the game.
Scholars are "bought" at the University for Wealth, where they begin actively collecting it from the moment of their creation. Each Scholar in the University adds +5 to the Knowledge gather rate. This rate can be increased through the University upgrades.

- Before reaching the Industrial Age there is no separate model for male/female Scholar units. Also, Korean pre-Industrial Scholars have a unique look, compared to other nations that use the Asian unit style.
