The Light Tank is the standard tank of the Industrial Age, available to upgrade from the Cuirassier as the successor of Heavy Cavalry and are built at the Auto Plant.

Overview

After Cuirassiers become Light Tanks, they gain +27 hit points, +1 attack strength, +1 armor, +6 movement speed, and +4 line of sight, but loses -10 attack speed.

Trivia

• The Light Tank uses two models; the more common of the two is the Renault FT (or FT-17) that is used by all nations except the Bantu, British, Nubians and Russians, which use the Mark VII tank with the addition of the custom turret seen on the one featured in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. (The Egyptians and Turks use a desert version of the Renault FT. The Bantu and Nubians use a desert version of the Mark VII.)
• According to the game files, the Germans use an A7V as their light tank, but it shares the same model with the Renault FT used by most other nations. Also, the game files indicate that the Egyptians and Turks use a desert version of the A7V, but the actual model is a desert version of the Renault FT. It suggests that the idea to give the Germans, Egyptians and Turks the A7Vs as their light tanks may have been originally considered but scrapped.
