|Unit Information||Game Strategies||History|
The Light Horse is the standard Light Cavalry of the Classical Age. Like all cavalry, it is trained and upgraded at the Stable, and is avaliable to recruit as soon as the age is reached, as long and a Stable is built (Which requires Military 1: The Art of War).
The fastest unit of its age, the Light Horse excels when attacking Light Infantry, Ranged Cavalry, and specially, Artillery Weapons. However, either Heavy Cavalry or Infantry will bring them down as fast as they move, and are vulnerable to Foot Archer fire. All in all, the Light Horse, and Light Cavalry in general, is arguably better than Light Infantry in most roles, except for two: Light Infantry is much more efficient against an abundance of Foot Archers, and can garrison inside Towers, while no cavalry is able to.
Unit Costs Edit
Unit production cost increases progressively with every Stable unit on the field or currently in production. The default increase is of 1 Food and 1 Timber for the second unit created, and grows exponentially from then on. Upgrading this unit costs double the base cost of the unit it will upgrade to; this means that the upgrade to Light Cavalry has a cost of 120 Food, 80 Timber. It's important to note, however, that these prices are the default standard, and actual production and upgrading costs may differ, depending on researched technologies/ages, connected rare resources, or adopted governments.
