Kushite Archers are the Nubian unique Foot Archers of the Classical Age, avaliable to upgrade from Bowmen as soon as the age is reached. Like all infantry, Kushite Archers are trained and upgraded at the Barracks, replacing the standard Archers.
Overview
Compared with standard Archers, Kushite Archers have the same stats, but a 41% damage bonus against all Foot Archers, and 6% damage bonus against Ranged Cavalry, which makes them an exceptional asset both in offense and defense, and the bane of any archer-using nation.
Training
Unit production cost increases progressively with every Barracks unit on the field or currently in production. The default increase is of 1 Timber and 1 Wealth for the second unit created, and grows exponentially from then on; although the maximum cost for Kushite Archers is capped at 90 Timber / 112 Wealth. Upgrading this unit costs double the base cost of the unit it will upgrade to; this means that the upgrade to Royal Kushite Archers has a cost of 80 Timber, 100 Wealth. It's important to note, however, that these prices are the default standard, and actual production and upgrading costs may differ, depending on researched technologies/ages, connected rare resources, or adopted governments.
Version notes
Version 03.02.12.0800 gave the Nubian Foot Archers a 15% damage penalty against Foot Archers and Ranged Cavalry; prior to this version, Nubian Foot Archers had a 25% damage bonus against Foot Archers and Ranged Cavalry, and Kushite Archers' additional 35% damage bonus meant a net of 68% damage bonus against Foot Archers compared with standard Archers.
