The Jet Fighter is the standard Fighter Aircraft of the Information Age, available to upgrade from the Fighter once Military 7 (Selective Service) is researched and are built at the Airbase.
Overview[]
When Fighters become Jet Fighters, they gain +2 hit points, +1 attack strength, +3 attack range, -10 attack speed, and +15 movement speed, as well as +100 Craft. Their operational time is increased to 33.3 seconds, and fuel recharge time is increased to 16.7 seconds.

- The Bantu build Eagle Fighters instead of Jet Fighter.
Trivia[]
- The Jet Fighter uses four different models:
- F-16 Fighting Falcon for the Americans, Aztecs, Dutch, French (in the vanilla Rise of Nations), Greeks, Inca, Indians, Iroquois, Japanese, Koreans, Lakota, Maya, Persians and Spanish.
- MiG-29 Fulcrum for the Chinese, Egyptians, Mongols and Russians. (The Egyptians use a desert version of the MiG-29.)
- Panavia Tornado for the British, Germans, Nubians, Romans and Turks. (The Nubians and Turks use a desert version of the Tornado.)
- Dassault Rafale (Incorrectly referred to as Mirage in game files) for the French (in Thrones and Patriots).
