Nation Overview | Strategic Overview | CtW Information | History |
The Inca are one of the 18 nations in the original Rise of Nations. They have the Power of Gold, an allusion to the enormous riches of the Inca Empire, and the amounts of gold stolen and melted by the Spanish during the Conquest of Peru, vast enough to encourage legends to arise in the minds of the greedy Spaniards, such as the famous Legend of El Dorado.
Power of Gold
- Mines produce Wealth in addition to Metal.
- Wealth Commerce Limit +33%.
- When one of your units is killed by an enemy, you receive a 25% refund.
- The 25% unit killed refund is based on the current cost of producing that unit at the time the unit died (including any units that are in queue), not the actual cost of the unit itself. Thus, even though your first few units are cheap, they may return a sizeable refund (greater than 25% of their cost) if you have a larger army or have many units queued up by the time they die.
Unique units
The Inca unique Light Infantry are melee, not ranged units. This makes them somewhat difficult to work with, especially to counter Foot Archers. They do have additional hit points, +3 attack strength, and +1 armor compared to the standard Light Infantry they replace, however. Additionally, they receive the 80% damage bonus against Supply Wagons and Armed Supply Wagons that all melee units receive. They also don't have the 5% damage penalty against Light Cavalry and Heavy Cavalry that most Light Infantry, Gunpowder Infantry, and Modern Infantry have. Finally, they receive a 15% damage bonus against Ranged Cavalry, Light Cavalry, and Heavt Cavalry.
The Inca unique Artillery Weapons' projectiles move much slower, but are much more accurate, with their accuracy staying high even at long ranges. They also have an additional 5% splash damage radius and a 10% damage bonus against buildings.
