After Triremes become Galleys, they gain +30 hit points, +2 attack strength, +2 moves, and +1 line of sight. As a Heavy Ship, the Galley is slower than other ships and occupies two population slots instead of one like most units, but is the toughest ship and the best at destroying Light Ships. However, the Classical Age introduces Fire Ships, bringing the previous dominance of Heavy Ships to an abrupt end, for an entire fleet of Galleys can be decimated in seconds with a handful of Fire Rafts, meaning that from this age onward, a mixed fleet will be crucial to dominate the seas.
Unit Costs Edit
Unit production cost increases progressively with every Dock unit on the field or currently in production. The default increase is of 2 Metal for the second unit created, increasing further with every new unit until the cost cap is reached, which for military units is +125% of their original base value. It's important to note, however, that these prices are the default standard, and actual production and upgrading costs may differ, depending on researched technologies/ages, connected rare resources, or adopted governments.
