The Egyptians are one of 18 nations in vanilla Rise of Nations. They have the Power of the Nile.

Nation Powers Edit

  • Start with a free Granary. Granary production upgrades are researched instantly and for free, once they become available.
  • Food Food Commerce Limit +10%.
  • May build 7 Farms per City (instead of 5). Farms also generate +2 Wealth Wealth.
  • Wonders cost 25% less, can be built one age early, and may build a maximum of two per City (instead of one). The 25% includes ramping cost.
  • In Conquer the World Campaign, receive one wonder card for free.

Notes: When starting with Nomads option, the Egyptians won't get the free Granary, nor any compensation for it.

TacticsEdit

  • Due to increased food production, you have the advantage of producing more units than most other nations.
  • Take advantage of the unique ability of this nation by constructing as many farms as possible in every city and thus generating more Wealth.
  • If you have sufficient resources, it is feasible to construct desired Wonders more quickly without having to waste time to find a suitable spot and construct another city.

Unique UnitsEdit

In general, the Egyptians' unique units have the same basic stats compared to the standard units they replace. However, the Heavy Chariot actually has 1 less armor than the standard Heavy Horse Archer. The unique Ranged Cavalry line has a 50% damage bonus against other Ranged Cavalry, including later Armored Cavalry and Mahouts. The Light Cavalry line has a 20% damage bonus against the Light Horse, Light Cavalry, and Elite Light Cavalry units.

Egyptian Unique Ranged Cavalry, Classical Age Classical age small - fast, ranged cavalry who can fire even while moving; particularly effective against all other Ranged Cavalry.

Egyptian Unique Light Cavalry, Classical Age Classical age small - extremely fast and lightly armed melee troops; useful for catching enemy raiders. Slightly better against enemy Light Cavalry.
