Archers European
Archers are the standard Foot Archers unit of the Classical Age Classical Age, upgrading from Ancient Age Ancient Age Bowmen. Archers are trained at the Barracks and are effective against Heavy Infantry, but weak against Light Infantry and Heavy Cavalry.

Like all Foot Archers units, Archers make excellent garrisons, increasing a building's garrison power more than other unit types.

Upgrading Edit

Archers upgrade from Ancient Age Bowmen, thereby receiving an additional +10 hit points and +2 attack strength.

They upgrade to Crossbowmen (European, Asian and African nations) or Heavy Archers (Native American nations) in the Medieval Age.

Training Edit

Archers are trained and upgraded at the Barracks.

Production cost for this unit increases progressively with every Barracks unit on the field or currently in production. However, the maximum cost for Archers is capped at 90 Timber Timber / 112 Wealth Wealth. Actual production and upgrading costs may differ, depending on researched technologies, connected rare resources, or adopted governments.
